So, That Got Weird by Amelia Kingston
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was a beautifully written book about two people who thought they were too damaged to be deserving of love.
Elizabeth had a privileged childhood but had parents who were too cold and aloof to show her any love and, so, she grew up feeling that she was "weird" and unlovable. Austin grew up in the foster system determined to prove that no one would ever love him enough to want him to stay so he pushed people away before he got attached to them.
Elizabeth proposes an unusual business arrangement to Austin in hopes that he can help her get over her crippling shyness and social anxiety. And to expand her knowledge of all things related to sex.
The story pulls you in from the beginning and makes you feel immediately invested in the happiness of both Elizabeth and Austin.
This was my first book by this author and I guarantee it won't be the last.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
