Riley Thorn and the Dead Guy Next Door by Lucy Score
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
If you want a literal laugh out loud, rollicking good time with a reluctant psychic, a devilishly dimpled private investigator, a mansion full of extremely active senior citizens, and the world's most flatulent dog...then this book is for you! you want a literal laugh out loud, rollicking good time with a reluctant psychic, a devilishly dimpled private investigator, a mansion full of extremely active senior citizens, and the world's most flatulent dog...then this book is for you!
Riley was an unexpected delight - realistic about her situation, not wanting to explore the possibility that she may actually be psychic but these dead people keep talking to her and she keeps seeing visions that don't seem to make any sense. Except the vision of P.I. Nick Santiago and Riley having epic sex in a bedroom Riley has never seen before. If only they actually liked each other!
Throw in a hole-in-the-wall bar, a dead neighbor, a crooked politician, a sleazy ex-husband and the fact that Nick seems to have a history with every woman they meet and you have a fun, sexy, whodunit romp.
I highly recommend this latest masterpiece from Lucy Score!
