Under the Rose by Kathryn Nolan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
What happens when you are forced to work side by side with your arch-nemesis in a case that pushes you both outside of your comfort zones?
FBI agent Sam and Codex agent Freya find out in this spellbinding romantic thriller. Infiltrating a secret society of underground book antiquities black market cause a tug-of-war for both agents as they put their wits, experience, lives, and hearts on the line.
I loved the Sherlock Holmes book references woven throughout the book. Also loved the story of Freya dressing up like Scully from the X-Files one Halloween as a child. Seeing Delilah and Henry again, deliriously happy in their relationship, was a huge bonus.
I am looking forward to the third and final installment of the Codex series and seeing Abraham find his HEA. I am sad to see this series end.
